Deep Change 2019 - Creative Action for Social Transformation is an event for anyone looking for answers about how to respond to the ecological and social emergency of our times. It is designed to produce creative elements that can be used in future social action. It includes: seven Workshop Tracks (of two 90-minute workshops each), plenty of time for networking, a power-packed Panel Discussion, three meals, and a Closing Celebration. Event attendees will be encouraged to perform the products of their workshops at the Closing. Parents needing childcare during the workshops can reserve spots for their children in the Harmony of the Hive Workshop.

Brought to you by The Center for Transformational Practice (CTP) in collaboration with community partners.

CTP is a nonprofit organization and small residential community working to support the region's transition to a just and sustainable culture through advancing inner transformation as the foundation for positive social change. To do this, we offer programs, such as retreats and workshops and build regional networks. CTP is proud to collaborate in creating Deep Change 2019 with Building A Local Economy, Telling Our Stories and the Northern Universalist Chapel Society of Woodstock, Vermont.

At a time of profound ecological and social crisis, in which the path of human survival requires a dramatic and rapid societal course correction, it is vitally important that we strengthen our ability to care about and for one another, other species and the next generations of beings to inherit the planet. It is equally important that we strengthen our response-ability, our ability to choose and take action on behalf of our common destiny. And it is essential that these actions be powerful and catalytic. The annual Deep Change Conference addresses the centrality of profound inner transformation to all of this. This year, we are focussing on the role of creative expression in social action to preserve life on Earth. Participants will emerge with new skills, new community and actual expressions they can take to the street in the many actions needed to redirect our current trajectory towards equity, peace and survival.
